"Evolving"

Truth does not evolve, though our understanding sometimes does. This is because truth is anchored to reality, to existence. There is "your understanding" and "my understanding" (subjective) but this is not the same thing as "your truth" and "my truth" (objective). This is because we share a common reality, accessible to all of us, and which transcends our existence. That is to say, reality exists and continues without you, without me; and truth therefore, is prior to you and prior to me. I does not evolve, and certainly does not evolve as our attitude and understanding change. Rather, attitudes and understanding can changed to be more or less well-aligned with truth. That is a truly freeing thought.
